CANNON FALLS, Minn. — Katie Klingberg, M.D., Family Medicine, joined the team of primary care providers at Mayo Clinic Health System in Cannon Falls on Oct. 5, 2015. She will provide care to patients of all ages.
“I am excited to practice in a small community setting and be part of a team of providers committed to quality and patient satisfaction,” says Dr. Klingberg. “I look forward to being part of a community where patients and providers come together in relationship and trust to receive the best care possible.”
Dr. Klingberg says she chose Family Medicine because she enjoys working with all age groups. “I treasure the relationships I have with my new parents and their babies as much as I do with my senior patients,” she says. “I especially enjoy helping my patients actively manage their chronic disease conditions in a partnership. I love to discuss health and wellness topics and incorporate important lifestyle modifications to avoid medication whenever possible.”
Dr. Klingberg obtained her medical doctor degree at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and has an undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. She also completed residency through the University of Minnesota. She practiced most recently in Apple Valley.
Dr. Klingberg and her husband, Rob, have three children, Lindsey (14), Mollie (12) and Peter (8). She says when the children are not keeping them busy, she enjoys tennis, reading, and trying new recipes. She says the family looks forward to traveling whenever they can. Dr. Klingberg also took up running. “My latest goal is to run more 5Ks and an eventual half marathon one day--but progress is slow!”
