Physician assistant Melanie Potaczek joins Urgent Care in Barron

BARRON, Wis. — Physician assistant Melanie Potaczek recently joined Urgent Care at Mayo Clinic Health System – Northland in Barron.

Potaczek earned bachelor’s degrees in biology at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and physician assistant studies at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Potaczek’s previous work experience includes dermatology.

Potaczek is a member of the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and also is certified in basic life support.

Her professional interests include dermatology, pediatrics and procedures.

In her free time, Potaczek enjoys traveling, photography, scrapbooking, crafts and any do-it-yourself projects.
