The next time you see your local ambulance heading to the scene of an accident, it may be a newly redesigned Mayo Clinic Health System ambulance. Two ambulance services owned and operated by Mayo Clinic Health System locations in Barron and Osseo, Wis. have been renamed Mayo Clinic Health System – Emergency Medical Services.
Mayo Clinic Health System ambulance services provide high-quality emergency medical care at the scene of traumatic or medical emergencies and during transport to and between medical facilities. Trained paramedics and emergency medical technicians work at emergency scenes side by side with first responder agencies, including fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and rescue squads, as well as other ambulance services. They also work closely with medical facilities throughout their service areas to ensure advanced level transport options are available to patients.
